It lies amid nature – between forests, meadows and the cosy heath-stream Örtze . The quiet location is what gives it its special charm. Landscape characteristics: Typical for Lower Saxony is the varied landscape – bogs, forests, fields and heath streams make it especially attractive. Discoveries: Small and large explorers are well-catered for, because the offer on and around our campsite is versatile. Comfort and Peace: Facilities for every requirement The four shower blocks offer you plenty of comfort. We place value on lovingly designed details and practical solutions. Bathrooms: The shower blocks feature lovingly designed children’s bathrooms and practical family rental-baths. Independent pitch sites: Motorhome drivers prefer to stay on our motorhome pitch sites in order to be independent of the barrier times. Activities on site: A visit to the ducal town of Celle by bicycle. Leisurely carriage rides through the heath. Canoeing on the Örtze and Aller rivers. Walking tours through nature. Day trips: On your own, make a day-trip to the memorial site of Bergen-Belsen, to Bispingen’s Kart Centre, to Soltau’s Heide-Park and Soltau Thermal Baths, or to the state capital Hanover. Region Excursions Relaxation and Gastronomy: Strengthening for body and soul After your excursion you can recharge your energy on the site. Wellness Oasis: The wellness-oasis with sauna and relaxation room is located directly on our site. Natural bathing experience: In summer you experience a true bathing holiday at our natural swimming pond. Here you can take a break and get to know the cultural landscape created by agriculture. Stately old oaks, small forests, meadows, pastures and heather give the Hornbosteler Hutweide its unique character. In the "German Petroleum Museum" in Wietze you will gain impressions of the development of oil extraction. A restored cobblestone trade route takes you to the "forest forge". We recommend the Outdooractive app for hiking, cycling and more. Outdooractive The "Wasser und Sand" hiking trail begins at the Wolthausen hiking car park. The best way to travel from Campingpark Südheide to the hiking trail is by bike, otherwise the entire route would quickly expand into a day trip. The circular hiking trail initially leads north through the pine forest. Follow the signs with the middle yellow circle and the pictograms "Water and Sand". Almost the entire route runs through the forest. If you observe the surroundings closely, you will discover old sandbanks that have now been conquered by the forest. It suddenly becomes hilly and the vegetation changes every few meters. It is not uncommon to notice traces of deer crossing. With a bit of luck, some of these forest inhabitants may cross your way. On the tour you will discover the small village of Winsen at the Aller river and also the history of the area. The small streets, the Winser post mill or the museum courtyard with a very nice café invite you to linger. Our tip: The Kalandstube – here you can enjoy homemade cakes, coffee and tea specialties. Continue to the Stechinelli Tor (the oldest monument in Winsen – an old manor from the 17th century), past the old town hall with its pillory, and then directly to the Aller bridge. You can expect modern sanitary facilities, children's bathrooms, a wellness oasis, Wi-Fi, hot water, and well-maintained supply and disposal stations – all included. Charging stations with 11 kW are available for electric vehicles. Relax at the natural swimming pond , enjoy our sauna , or explore nearby restaurants and supermarkets, which you can easily reach on foot or by bike.
