Outdooractive From our campingpark, this varied tour first runs eastwards and then southwards to Oldau, a town in the Hambühren municipality. Here you can have a look at the hydroelectric power station, which is the only one in northern Germany that has largely been preserved in its original state. An exciting explanation of how the system works can also be found on the way. Please note that the bike must be carried at the hydropower plant! From Oldau it goes along the Aller towards Südwinsen, past pastures and fields. Switching off is particularly easy when you are surrounded by this beautiful and peaceful landscape. We have invested a lot in the infrastructure of the Wifi network in recent years to provide you with the best possible internet connection. The expansion of the fibre optic network is in its final stages so that we will be able to provide our guests with enough bandwidth from the 2024 season. We currently use Starlink for our guests (up to 250 Mbps). In recent years, we have invested heavily in the infrastructure of our Wi-Fi network to provide you with the best possible internet connection. This means that you can not only relax and enjoy nature with us, but also work without any problems if you wish. Workation comfort: parking spaces with LAN connection If you want to work while on vacation and need a completely stable internet connection, you can book one of our special workation pitches (numbers 483 to 489). There you will have a direct LAN connection for maximum speed and reliability. Please make sure that you are connected to our WiFi network “Campingpark Südheide”. A WLAN symbol should appear in the top right corner of your display ᯤ . Check the bandwidth with the Speed test . If your internet connection doesn't work right away, we have summarized the most important points for you. You can find out what sources of interference there are and how you can solve WLAN connection problems here: What are the sources of interference on the campsite? The network is weather-dependent – strong wind and rain have a negative effect on the connection. Are there trees, walls or caravans in the way? You can find out exactly where the masts are located on the attached map. Are you using an outdated terminal device that does not have a good antenna and therefore a weaker transmission power? Other electronic devices such as microwaves can interfere with radio signals. What do you have to do if you don't have WiFi? Connection is best when a Wifi mast is visible in the direct vicinity. Use a Wifi repeater or extender to pick up and amplify the Wifi signal. Please do not park the caravan directly in front of a Wifi mast so as not to interfere with the Wifi. The campsite is completely occupied and every guest uses WiFi. How much bandwidth is left per user? We have not set a limit per user. So the guests get up to 50 Mbps download. However, if the entire campsite is occupied and all guests are streaming or using Wifi access at the same time, each user is automatically throttled down by our router. Therefore, we cannot say exactly how much bandwidth each user has. Campingpark Südheide – Wifi System If you still do not have Wifi connection, please contact our reception directly. Carefree vacation with your faithful companion Of course you can bring your family dog with you on your camping vacation! Your faithful companion is very welcome at our campsite. We offer specific services to ensure you have a relaxing stay with your dog: Off-leash area: For exuberant fun, we have a fenced-in dog run where your dogs can romp and play without a leash. Rental properties: Some of our rental properties are available for stays with pets. Service: As a guest, you can request bowls and dog beds. Care: Your dog shower is located at shower houses 3 and 4. Free service and important locations We provide you with important items free of charge: Dog waste bags: These are available free of charge from the following dispensers: on the beach area on the tent field, in the recycling area (opposite the reception), at the dog run, and near the bicycle rack in front of shower houses 3 and 4. Food note: Please note that dog food is no longer available in the mini market due to lack of demand. From here you continue on the Aller cycle path to the small village of Oldau with its historic hydroelectric power station. Get to know the varied river landscape of the Aller glacial valley and follow the Aller cycle path far away from traffic through wooded areas and along the meadows of the Aller. Our tip: Take a break at Lüßmann's Hof and enjoy regional and traditional specialties with a modern twist. Visit the old town of Celle with its renaissance and baroque ducal castle and the more than 450 lovingly restored and monument protected half-timbered houses.
